Pelidnota Punctata by Eccoton Pelidnota Punctata by Eccoton
photography - Some call these beetle Spotted June Bugs. They are pretty neat a scarab like beetle that can really dig in the dirt fast and has a strong grip. He is alive, it was a one second exposure because I was trying a high f-stop. He was slowly climbing over the stick and stopped just for a second but there is a bit of blur because of the second shutter speed.

Looks really good for a 1 second exposure. I don't even notice the blur. Insects rarely stay still that long!

When I would touch him he would freeze for a second. So as he was crawling I would poke him a bit and he would freeze and raise up his fron legs.
